European Capital of Democracy and ALDA, the European Association for Local Democracy, have teamed up to launch an ambitious project aimed at identifying and training change-makers ahead of the upcoming European Parliament elections in Bulgaria, Italy, Austria, Portugal, Slovenia, Croatia, and France. Click here to join the Citizens’ Jury!
Dubbed “Take the Lead in the EU Elections” (TALE), the project seeks to empower citizens by providing them with training in order to enable them to take an active role in shaping their future, with a focus on young Europeans and first time voters. Trainings will cover key aspects and values of the European Union, as well as important skills such as effective communication, campaigning, and community organising.
TALE creates an opportunity where a network of change-makers can support and learn from each other, collaborate on projects, and amplify their collective voices for greater impact. The project offers an unprecedented opportunity to make their voices heard, and to create real change in the world around them- to create a better, more inclusive, and more sustainable society for all.
By empowering young people and engaged citzens with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to become effective leaders and advocates, the project will help to build a stronger, better connected, and more democratic European Union, capable of meeting the challenges of the 21st century.
If you have a passion for making a positive difference in the world, we encourage you to get involved in the TALE project through our Citizen’s Jury, and to join us in building a brighter future.
