The European Capital of Democracy was honored to host the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Marija Pejcinovic Buric, during her official stay in Vienna. Secretary General Pejcinovic Buric has been a true supporter of the European Capital of Democracy in the past years, and her insights and encouragement have been invaluable in our efforts to promote democracy and civic participation.
During her visit, Secretary General Pejcinovic Buric met with Managing Partners Helfried Carl, Edward Strasser and Ronny Zuckermann to discuss our ongoing projects and initiatives aimed at strengthening democratic participation across Europe. We also had the chance to introduce her to the highlights of the European Capital of Democracy programme year in Barcelona.
As Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Marija Pejcinovic Buric is a leading advocate for democracy and human rights, and her visit underscores the importance of our mission to promote democratic values by building the European Capital of Democracy. We are honored to have had the opportunity to introduce our whole team to her and to learn from her experience. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with the Council of Europe and other organizations that share our commitment to democracy and civic participation.
Thank you, Madam Secretary General, for your visit and for your ongoing support of the European Capital of Democracy. Together, we will continue to promote democracy, civic participation, and human rights for all.
